Amy S. Timmons, FSA, MAAA, EA, CFA, PMP Senior Vice President and Senior Consultant, Administration and Technology Consulting Amy is a Senior Vice President and Senior Consultant in Segal’s Administration and Technology Consulting Practice (ATC). Amy is an efficiency expert assisting organizations in their operational, organizational, and technical needs by leveraging her expertise in technology, change management and process re-design. She has more than 30 years of experience delivering strategic solutions to private, public and international clients. Her experience has encompassed actuarial, investment, operational and technology consulting in the administration and management of all types of benefit programs. Amy is an experienced leader having managed pension, health, technology, member/employer services, disability, actuarial, and accounting teams. Amy has worked closely with participants, employers, staff, senior management, governing boards, industry organizations and legislative groups in assisting them with administrative reviews, organizational and governance evaluations, feasibility studies, strategic planning, third party administrator searches and technology acquisitions and reviews. Professional background Amy was a Vice President with The Segal Company from 1996 to 2007 and re-joined Segal’s Administration and Technology Consulting Practice in February 2018. Prior to re-joining Segal, Amy was the Retirement Practice Leader for DXC Technology, Inc. (DXC), formerly Covansys/HP, where she worked closely with clients and delivery teams to address business process and technology issues and identify strategic initiatives in the retirement environment. Prior to joining Segal, Amy was the in-house actuary for Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association where she performed the actuarial valuations for over 140 affiliated defined benefit pension plans as well as coordinated and reviewed actuarial valuations performed by outside consultants, researched and recommended actuarial assumptions and methods and provided actuarial, legal, and technical support to legislative task forces and committees, staff, governing boards, employers, and members. Amy also served as an Assistant Actuary for Security Life of Denver in their investment department where she was responsible for the implementation and maintenance of asset/liability performance analysis, preparation of monthly and annual investment reports, monthly balancing of insurance product portfolios, pricing of guaranteed investment contracts and provided actuarial support to the Chief Investment Officer.
